REDARC is Australia's leading manufacturer of heavy-duty electronic equipment, best known for its power management systems used across 4WDs, RVs and caravans. Nash Advisory was engaged by REDARC to source and execute an acquisition to give it a foothold in an overseas market.
Nash approached 49 potential targets before progressing with Samlex, a North American supplier of inverters, chargers and DC power products to fleet, RV and marine customers.
Nash led commercial due diligence and supported REDARC through SPA negotiations to completion in September 2026. Samlex continues to operate under its established brand and leadership team, giving REDARC an experienced local platform to expand its presence in North America.

REDARC has built its reputation designing and manufacturing power management products in Australia and was looking for an acquisition to accelerate its growth. REDARC engaged Nash Advisory to run a targeted search for a business with an established local brand, customer base and team in complementary sectors. Samlex emerged from a shortlist of five businesses that met REDARC's criteria.
Nash ran strategic workshops with REDARC to assess a range of value-accretive corporate actions. Ultimately, the strategic value of achieving scale in North America was determined to be the best use of capital.
Nash travelled to Vancouver with the REDARC team to form close relationships with the Samlex team and key advisers. With REDARC in Australia and Samlex in Canada, Nash coordinated the legal, tax and financial workstreams across both jurisdictions.
Nash Advisory prepared a commercial due diligence report within four weeks of starting diligence. This critically assessed key financial, operational and legal due diligence materials. This analysis informed a detailed business case and gave REDARC and its Advisory Board confidence that Samlex would be a value-additive acquisition.
Nash structured the transaction to ensure that there was alignment between REDARC and Samlex. It was particularly important to ensure that the owner's family, who still held key executive roles, would be appropriately incentivised to continue growing with REDARC.
