Nash Advisory is excited to be bringing back our Graduate & Intern training program again for 2022. In 2021, Nash piloted a free 3-week intensive program for 10 prospective interns, made up of undergraduates, recent graduates and experienced professionals to learn more about the inner workings of investment banking and private equity. In our 3-week program in 2021, we covered a range of topics including:
- End-to-end deal overview
- How to write and prepare investment flyers, information memorandums and pitch decks
- Business development
- Commercial, financial and legal due diligence processes
- Financial modelling (3-way model and DCFs)
- Valuations
- Negotiations
Our pilot program also invited guest speakers and friends of the firm from Private Equity, Investment Banking, Big-4 accounting firms and law firms, as well as special guests including ex-clients, senior industry experts and leading executives. Over the course of the program we took the time to bring the participants through the lifecycle of working in investment banking and private equity, and conducted site tours of our investment portfolio companies to dig into some of the finer details in a real world environment.
All trainees enjoyed positive outcomes following the course, with 4 accepting ongoing positions with Nash and remain working with us after almost 9 months. The remainder have successfully secured further internships and employment opportunities in related fields, some as a direct result of networking opportunities provided through the program.
Following feedback from participants, we have sought to streamline and improve the program from 2021, offering a revised format in 2022.
